Mason didn’t know what he got himself into. What he knew was that he was on a boat. He was dressed like he always do. Which meant that he was already invisible to the eyes of many. 

     He still remembered how a guy ran up to him and asked him to take his place in a mission. The guy also looked like he was going to shit his pants, it was either the man actually had to shit, or he just chickened out. Regardless, Mason remembered the details well, protect the ship from pirates, find another person who was tasked for the mission, and all the other informations told by the guy. He had always been good at recalling things. 

     He leaned on one of the rails and looked around at the sea that reflected the blue sky above. The air there were salty and smelled of the ocean. If it weren’t for the mission, he would’ve enjoyed his time on the ship more.

    Mason definitely felt the boat shaking, ”Whoa, whoa!-“ he was thrown off balance, a simple stumble forward made him fell head first towards the water. Luckily for him, a Pokemon came out from his bag.

     A serpent like Pokemon with beautiful scales emerged in the water. Her loud cry was enough to attract attention. The boy landed on safely on the Milotic. ”Thanks Lily,”.

     He couldn’t help but to notice the flame at the end of the ship. ‘Is there a fight going on?’, he asked himself. Then he saw it. The divers had an emblem that Mason wasn’t familiar with. What he knew was that those people and their Malamar must’ve caused the shaking of the ship. 

     “Help!” he heard. Apparently he wasn’t the only one who fell off the boat. It wasn’t hard for Mason to pick between saving those people, and fighting the bad guys. ”C’mon Lily, let’s help those people get back onto the ship. We’ll let that Arcanine handle them for now,”. 

     The Milotic didn’t wait any longer, she swiftly swam around to the victims in the water, while Mason picked them up to rest on her body. There weren’t a lot of people that fell. Which was fortunate. So everybody was safe once Mason and Lily got them back on the boat. 

     But the threat was still there.

    Mason knew that he just saved some people from the water. But the ship was beginning to sink and they all had to come back into the water, in a lifeboat of course. He knew what he needed to do, but he just couldn’t believe it. Mason had always been a timid boy with his shy demeanour and pipsqueak voice. But when the time comes, he can be the torch in the middle of a raging storm.

     The boy jumped off from Lily and on to the ship. It was a mess. Everyone was panicking and did not know where to go. He could hear Tallulah from the other end. But the others who was panicking, the world was distorted. ”Lily, help me calm these people down,”, the Milotic closed its eyes. Soon a green aura vibrates from its body. The aura soothed the heart of the people on the ship. There were less noise, so Mason could speak clearly this time.

     He cupped his hands around his mouth, ”Everybody! Form a line in front each of these lifeboats! Ship crews, help people in and lower them only when it is full! Prioritise the children, the sick, and the elderly first please! Anybody who has a Water-Type Pokemon that they can use please do so, so that we all can get off this ship as fast as we can and leaves more room inside the life boats!”.

     The people soon did as told. Lines were formed and swimmable Pokemon were brought out. He sighed before he grabbed a Poke Ball from his bag. Out from it came a Larvesta. ”Vesty, I need you to deal with the Malamar. Use Ember to fly there, make sure to not get hit by any attacks so you don’t fall in the water. If you do get hit, balance with ember again, alright?”, Vesty shook his head, impatient as he got the chance to battle.

     ”Now keep a distance from them and use Bug Buzz, a couple hits from Bug Buzz will definitely knock that Malamar out,”. Vesty nodded one more time before it jumped off the ship, the tips of its horns then shoot out flames, allowing it to hover in the air.

     Mason stayed there and made sure that everything was in order and that people got safely into the lifeboats. While his Larvesta flew towards where Tallulah and the pirates were. As soon as Vesty saw the Malamar, he used Bug Buzz and screeched, sending red waves towards the Malamar and the divers. When the attack hit, the Malamar and the divers would find themselves having a sharp headache.

    The Malamar was knocked out by just one more hit of the Larvesta’s Bug Buzz. The Larvesta didn’t expect the battle to end that fast, so he went on to use String Shots on the pirates. Even the one that Tallulah had already captured.

     Everything was going smoothly for Mason. With the Milotic’s help, everybody remained calm and got onto the lifeboats. The boy also helped in getting the remaining ship crews inside the last life boat and brought it down into the water.

     ”Lily, protect the people.” he said before rushing off towards where the pirates were, and also to check if his Larvesta was okay or not.

    ”Tallulah!”, Mason greeted back with a wide smile and a wave of the hand. 

     He quickly rushed to her aid. ”Yeah we definitely have more room for him.” he answered right after he was asked. He simply nodded when she said that they needed to get somewhere safe. 

     Mason asked his Larvesta to use String Shot on the fainted Malamar. Then he called his Milotic to carry the Malamar while he and Vesty took the captured pirate back to one of the boats with some more space in them. 

     Things were a lot easier for him once the people from the League arrived. They basically took over the responsibility and Mason was honestly glad, he was quite drained from all the commotion. 

     Mason followed Tallulah into the boat she was in to catch on things and talked about what just happened. He found it nice to meet her again.
